Business Owner

“We have been working with Aniko for a few years. It is very easy to talk to her and share ideas. She helped us to transfer our whole database from one to another system. Also to merge two separate companies. Very solution oriented! She has saved us so much money and hassle! Highly recommend her!”

How We Help You

Let’s face it – you didn’t start your business because you love taxes and numbers. We understand that bookkeeping and taxes can sometimes be complicated, and we do our best to keep things simple.

We know that managing your business is time consuming enough without having to worry about accounts.

When we take on a client, we take great care to understand your business and your goals, and we help you to achieve them.

Our Services

Day-to-Day Bookkeeping

Bookkeeping is recording your company’s financial transactions in an organised way, on a daily basis. How much of this we do, it tailored to your needs.

Some clients like to do basic bookkeeping functions themselves, while others prefer if we do all of it. We go over your options and explain exactly what our services would include, tailored to your needs.

Daily bookkeeping can include recording all expense receipts, reconciling them against bank statements, keeping track of VAT, issuing sales invoices, and any other basic record keeping.

Keeping this up-to-date regularly allows you to get an accurate idea of the company’s finances at a glance.

Mid Year Consultation

As a company owner, it can sometimes be tricky to know how much money you have available to spend, and how much needs to be set aside for taxes.

We offer a mid-year consultation which gives you an easy-to-understand snapshot of exactly where the finances stand. We don’t just give you a report – we go over it in person with you and make sure you understand it and have all your questions answered.

Year-End Accounts

Every year, once a year, you are legally required to submit year-end accounts, if you run a limited company.

With your bookkeeping records up-to-date, we handle the entire process, including all the necessary reports and statements that HMRC requires.

Payroll Services

We can manage your payroll entirely. This means issuing correct payslips to your employees weekly or monthly and advising you on how much PAYE and National Insurance to pay.

It includes the so-called “P11D” submission that you need to submit annually, which shows what benefits you and your employees receive besides wages.

If you are in the construction industry there are regulations about how to pay contractors, which we take care of fully as well.

Payroll also includes keeping track of sick leave and holiday pay, and we make sure that you do the right thing here in terms of paying your employees.

VAT Returns

When you are VAT registered, you need to submit VAT returns to HMRC, either every month or every quarter. There are some choices to make about what type of VAT calculation you should use.

We advise you on the best way to manage your VAT, and we prepare and submit your VAT returns for you.

Self Assessment

If you are self-employed, you have to declare your taxes once a year, by a reporting process called self-assessment.

With our self-assessment service, we prepare your submission and submit it to HMRC in time.

Accounting Software Advice

It is possible for us to do your company’s accounts without you needing to invest in accounting software, but as your company grows, it is advisable to use one of the small business accounting packages on the market.

We can advise you on the pros and cons of various packages, and we can help you to install it and get set up. We can also teach you how the basics of how to use it.

Financial Planning

Long-term financial planning is a vital part of running a company.

Financial and tax decisions can vary depending on the long-range goals for your company.

We provide advice and guidance so that your financial decisions fit with your long-term goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

We believe that bookkeeping can be made simple for business owners. There’s no such thing. as a stupid question, and we’re always happy to answer whatever you’d like to know.

The short answer is, no you don’t. But we can teach you the basics.

How much of your bookkeeping we do is up to you. We will happily advise you on accounting software, and can teach you some of the basic functions so that you can keep track of expenses, issue invoices and so on, and we take care of the tax returns, payroll and reporting.

Or, you can just give us your receipts and we take care of it all.

Running a business is stressful enough as it is.

Our job is to take care of the complexities of taxes, accounting and regulations, and explain them to you in simple terms. You don’t need to be an accountant.

We give you enough knowledge about your finances so that you can make the right decisions about your business.

Most definitely. Our offices are in East Grinstead, in the southeast of England, but we have clients in London, and all the way up to Edinburgh.

We can take care of your bookeeping needs wherever you are in the UK. We would stay in touch by email, phone and Zoom, and all contracts and tax submissions can be signed electronically.
